Q. How do I know whether or not I am receiving proper yield? We only get rolls marked with weight per roll and no footage.
A. Anytime this happens, it is circumspect. If your supplier is honest, the footage will be on every roll tag. If not, you must take the time to:
- Measure the cutoff.
- Count the number of packages yielded by one roll or by a set of rolls. (this takes time, and most people are too busy for what appears as boring. It is a lucrative investment in time in most cases).
- Determine the weight per 1,000 packages using the formulas provided.
- Take the number of packages made and divide into total pounds used.
- Compare actual with theoretical.

- One Roll on Top ... One Roll on Bottom
- Cut off One Sheet and Wrap Around the Case with a Wand
