Vertical Form / Fill / Seal (F/F/S) is a technical term for the most common means of packaging snack foods, cereals and frozen foods. The product is dropped into a sheet which is formed into a bag which takes the shape of a pillow. Monolayer films must utilize “impulse” sealing jaws; “resistance”, or constant heat jaws require an outer layer which does not melt as quickly, or “resists” the heat from the jaws. Our films can be used either way; for “resistance” applications our film is the “sealant” web of the laminate.
Our f/f/s films are made with fast tack to seal through contaminants at maximum speeds. |
